International Shooting Comp

June 5 - This morning Jayson and I had the privilege of attending the International P S C. Dr. Barragon was competing and we went to watch. We rode over in the ambulance with the medical interns. The ambulance experience was once in a lifetime, with a manual siren switch, no shocks, and a little bed in the back that bounces with every bump in the road. The minister of defense was at the competition to welcome all the different people from the other countries. He also took the first shot at a wine glass but had a little trouble shooting…this made Jayson and I both nervous for Bolivia if they ever end up going to war. The competition was surprisingly fun to watch. There were about six different courses and each participant shoots about 30 shots on each course. They go for accuracy and time. Dr. Barragon was shooting with an Israeli Desert Storm (he thinks that Jayson should become a member of the NRA and also buy a pistol…he is quite jealous of the liberal gun laws in the U.S.).
